Sneak and layouts

This last Sunday, yesterday and today, I did a lot! Sunday I spent working on a card for my dearest sis and her hubby, who celebrate their 25th anniversary Oct. 14 Ofcourse it had to be a special card, whick I think it is, but...... I can only show you a sneaky peek of it, cause she hasn't received it yet and I don't want to spoil the fun!

Monday I had to work, so I didn't do a thing about crafting, but yesterday, boy, I haven't had so much fun in ages trying to create a layout I like! I think I found a new passion........ Vintage scrapping, my gosh, is that ever so nice to do!

I played with ink, water, distresser, torn edges, had fun with lace......

And this is what I ended up with! The photo is one from my great-great-grandparents spending a day at the beach with their family. I didn't do it all by myself though, I found inspiration in a layout by Ingvild from Norway. She creates the most wonderful layouts, and knows I've kind of lifted her layout, and loves mine:-)
Oh, I gotto tell you this, as I don't have much thickers, and the ones I do have are always in the wrong color, I used the tip my sis gave me, bought some foam sheets and used my Sizzix alphabets (got only 2 ha, ha) and my Sidekick and created my own, and it's totally awesome, love doing that! And it sure is a lot cheaper than buying all those different fonts in thickers right?

This morning I did another one, or, gathered everything I needed and after lunch I put everything together! So glad I bought some flowers in the Netherlands during my visit and ordered some more on line, now I can play even more!

This layout is inspired by the work of Kristina, also from Norway, I think she is a great scrapper and I really like the vintage style she uses on a lot of her work.
That's it for now, tomorrow I have to work from 3-8 pm...... yuk...... I'm so not a night person! But I'll manage, I hope:-) This Saturday Henk and I are going to the fair, he got some free entrance passes, and there is a lot to see, craft shows, pumpkins.... you name it, they've got it! So I'll make sure to bring my camera and maybe I can show you some pictures next week!
Thanks again for stopping by and have a great day!
