A challenge, a lift layout and a card!

I guess by now you all know I love challenge blogs! This photo waited here for a long time to be scrapped, but I just didn't know how to.... until Say in it Scrap came with the perfect challenge!
"So the challenge is to scrap how you felt on a specific day. This can be as complicated or simple as you want it to be. It can be how you felt, a love one felt, how you think a stranger felt. It can be about a birthday party, a casual dinner, a first date.....anything really. What I'd love to see is conveyed emotion."

Here's my take on the challenge, a day in May '07, which was a perfect day for me, or "x-treme" as the stamp says! That day we took my mom, who was here for a visit, to Niagara Falls, we had such a good time, perfect weather, perfect settings, perfect people..... In other words, the perfect day for me!
***
Yesterday it was Victoria Day here in Canada, a day we celebrate Queen Victoria's birthday. Everybody had a day off and my family did what had to be done, work outside!! I couldn't,so I decided to lift a layout I'd seen on a Yahoogroup which is made by Kirs about Koninginnedag (the day they celebrate their queens birthday) in Holland!

I had the perfect photo, one I took the last Koninginnedag we were in Holland, and had so much fun with it!

I used paint, felt, patterend paper, wrapping paper, stamps, rub-ons, Sakura pens, staples en felt flowers on it.

And the last thing to show you is a card I made by doing the workshop Nancy has on her blog!

I like it a lot, and this card is for someone who deserves a "big hug", he/she will find it in her mailbox in a while!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Fabulous layouts, love the use of the BG with that photo of you.
I can't seem to make cards so I took a break from blog reading & chalenges & also a short break from my own blog to spend sometime on myself. I have got some creativity back & have been doing layouts & a minibook theme based on weekly prompts. It was already up to week 13 when i joined but am all caught up I was so inspired! I have filed paper08 away on the back burner for when I can get my head around it. None of the prompts speak to me like Emily's deck of me did.
