OLW Gone & Live Life

I've made it before the deadline, yeaaaaaah!!! The new One Little Word closes Friday, so right in time! Gone was the word, and I knew right away what photo to use, but... I forgot about it, remembered, and started thinking what to do..... And finally.... it's done!

Yes, I love ribbons, and I hardly ever use red, but with the black and white papers and photo, something bright had to be added!

Our plane......when we left for Canada.... well, I guess you can read it on the sides! Oh, and in case you are wondering why that white ribbon is placed that close to the side.. I made a huge mistake in the journaling, couldn't correct it, so this is my solution!

Another detailed photo!

This one is made yesterday, had it laying on my desk for days, couldn't figure out what to do, so I almost completely scraplifted a layout I saw somewhere but forgot where!

Marloes, my oldest daughter, photo taken last May at Niagara Falls. She didn't even know I took it, and that's when I love the photos most!

Love the stamps, flowers and rub-ons.... and when I win the jackpot, there are going to be lots and lots more!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

And the last thing for today, a wonderful, delicious Banana Bread recipe, baked it yesterday, and especially with butter it tastes yummie..... And I have to stop baking, because...... why is it, that everything that tastes so good...... adds some extra pounds???

So, if you have some overripe bananas, be sure to make this!!

2 cups All-purpose flour 500 mL
1 tsp. Baking soda 5 mL
1/2 tsp Salt 2 mL

1/2 cup Butter (or hard margarine), softened 125 mL
1 cup Granulated sugar 250 ml
Large eggs 2

Mashed overripe banana (about 3 medium)
1 tbsp. Lemon juice 15 mL
1 tsp. Vanilla extract 5 ml.

****
Measure first 3 ingredients into large bowl. Stir. Make a well in centre. Set aside.

Cream butter and sugar in medium bowl. Add eggs 1 at a time, beating well after each addition.

Add remaining 3 ingredients. Stir. Add to well in flour mixture. Stir until just moistened. Spread in greased 9 x 5 x 3 inch (22 x 12.5 x 7.5 cm) loaf pan. Bake in 350°F (175°C) oven for 55 to 60 minutes until wooden pick inserted in centre comes out clean. Let stand in pan for 10 minutes before removing to wire rack to cool. Cuts into 16 slices.

Pure (concentration)

A new word at the One Little Word challenge blog, PURE..... "Show us what pure means to you".

Well, pure means a lot of things, but combined with an other word, I made this layout with a photo of my youngest daughter Anouk.
I love it how we both share the same interest in reading. We both love to dream away with a book, don't hear a thing, don't notice what happens around us. And that's when I took this photo of her, totally concentrated, just her and her book...... I took several shots of her, and they all are so precious to me, specially when at night I downloaded them on the computer and she said; "Mom..... when did you make those photo's of me? I never noticed you did??!!"

Used papers are 3 Bugs in a Rug, chipboard letters by Basic Grey, rubons from the Dollarama and my black Zig writer. Inspiration for this layout I got from Cynthia. I love her style, and love to lift her work. Also had her permission to use some ideas for a layout, so here it is!

Thanks for looking!

Seek........

New word challenge at One Little Word which I had to think about a little while, but I realized, there is nothing I'm seeking for...... so, I guess this is enough!

Used on this LO is BG Blush, paint, stickers (BG) rubons, flowers, stamps (AL), ribbon and staples. Loved this challenge and have some catching up to do with 2 words from that side. It'll come.....someday!
