Today we went to Port Dover to see the new house of friends of ours who moved to Canada too. I took some pictures through the window of the car........
Lots of snow, roads not clean but we were able to drive!
And some snow, blowing, hard winds, and oooooooh so cold! Windchill was -28 today and overnight it will be like -31...... Glad I'm in bed by than!

Don't know weather to feel sorry for you, or to be jalous LOL. Even serieus, min 28 is wel HEEEL erg koud natuurlijk. Hier nog steeds geen winter, de crocusjes staan al in de tuin, en das nou ook weer niet de bedoeling.

I'm a Dutch Canadian living in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and my Google alert for 'Port Dover' (my old home town) alerted me to your sight. You must be so fascinated by your first Canadian winter. It was great to see the photo of the Lynn Valley hill on the Blue Line (at least I think that's where that is). I've seen the photos my parents sent back to Holland in the 1950s to show how much snow they had...and then they really had piles and piles of snow when the winters were harder.
