I miss this guy

While the last challenge focused on the everyday today, we thought we'd piggyback on that to give you a challenge with a choice. Actually...a glimpse with a choice. Is there something in the past that you think about a lot? A best friend that you miss? The place you grew up? Your perfect wedding? Or maybe breakfast out with your dad every Sunday morning...just you and him. Anything in your past that just comes to memory right now? Or something that you've been thinking about lately maybe...Or, do you prefer not to dwell in the past? Maybe you like to think about what the future may bring? Where will you be next year? In 5 years? In 10? Where do you want to be? Or maybe you have plans for something special, a goal in mind, and you hope that you make it?
Scrap that glimpse...past or future...but scrap it!

Challenge #7 at AAE already, the weeks go by so fast, but I don't mind at all, I love these challenges, specially this one! It wasn't hard, really as the girls said, that's how it was with this one! Anything in your past that just comes to memory right now? Yes,...... a lot of things actually, things I miss.... or better, people I miss..... or even stronger, one person I miss a lot, a person I saw quite often, but now lives about 6000 km. away......

That person is my brother, we are very close, always have been, even though he's 10 years younger then I am. When he was little, I was his "second mom", when he grew up, I was his "big sister", when I got married, his sister got married to his "big brother"....... And I have to say, creating this layout, brought back so many memories, of our fights (which we had, with the age difference), of our special times together..... and of the last time I saw him, and had to say goodbye..... hope to see you soon...... It also brought tears..... of love, of pain, of ... well a lot of emotions......

But it felt good, finally using this photo, which I had laying around for a long time, and never quite exactly knew what to do with it.

So "little brother", this one is for you!! I love you, and miss you very much!

Aw girlie. Know this feeling too well. Got 2 daughters far away in another land myself, and while my sis is only the other end of the country, I only see her a few times a year these days.

But love knows no distance eh?

Great take
hugs

I found your blog thru another blog and just wanted to comment on your pages. They are great, I love how you have used so many pp's on your page. I am sure your brother will also love how you've chosen him as your subject for this page.

Very beautiful page & story. Itsd sad when we are parted, be it due to location or departd from this world, but the joy of seeing this layout will always remind you that he is never as far away as it feels. Hang it up where you can see it, or recreate it on a canvas.xx

Mine is almost finished I suprised myself last night. Just the embellishing & title to do, am working out my journal block.

Heftig, de emotie na het lezen van deze lo. Geweldig meid, en dan de reaktie van marcel. Ik wist het wel, maar het is fijn dit te lezen. Mam.
